THE SHE'S SACRED SHOW | EPISODE TEN: The Sacred Feminine Series: Soft Power

There's something about soft power when we are running our legacies and lives. It's solid. It's rooted in feeling grounded. It leans into both the masculine and the feminine to expand and elevate.

SHOW TRANSCRIPT:

Hello and welcome back to the She's Sacred Show . I'm Katherine Phifer . Welcome, welcome. So excited that you're here and I can't wait to dive into part two of the Sacred Feminine Series with you. Today we're talking about soft power inside of leadership. Yesterday we talked about the sisterhood wound. That was a deep one. If you have not had a chance to listen to it, I highly recommend that you do. And if this topic is really Just lighting you up.

I would love to invite you into the Sacred Femme experience. This is such a beautiful container and opportunity for you to infuse the Sacred Feminine into your business, your leadership, and your life in a really powerful way. And it's currently on sale until the end of November. And you can also bundle it with my other program, my sister program, Energy Queen for a discounted price. And I'm also offering a unique high level six month container. It's called, , I think it's called the sacred bundle, but it's like the whole shebang of Everything that I offer currently and extended into six months.

It's really powerful. And if you pay in full, there's a VIP day in Paris, which I have to say, Paris has been activating me lately. I've been, I went last year about this time and we're going again soon. And the vibe of Paris is just very fun. And engaging and sparkly. The shopping is amazing. The food is really good and just everything about it is so fun. I've had so many fun experiences in Paris, I can't wait to go back. I do have to say London is my favorite city on the planet. But Paris is coming in like at a hard second, and Then of course, Boston is my favorite American city, but anyway, I digress. Oh, we can talk all about cities.

I really am going to do a city guide because I think it's really, really powerful and I'd love to share with you all of the things that I love about the cities that I go to. Cause I do love to travel, but today we're talking about soft power. In leadership. And this is really a feminine concept around being grounded and just really solid in who you are as a leader.

And there's something that happens when you lean into your soft power. The whole world opens up and. You're less inclined to be thwarted by drama or other people's energy. There's less of an opportunity for you to be jostled by what's happening in the world and in the dynamics of the world. You really do show up with.

A different kind of energy and power, and it's really, really cool when you start to lean into this, and I'm gonna give you some PR practicalities around this today so that you can take them and just thrive and go forward. So one of the things that I think that's really important with soft power is that you feel good in your energy and in your body.

And that's what Energy Queen my program is all about. One of the things I talk about inside of Energy Queen and often in the work that I do individually with my clients is how you're feeling in your body. If your nervous system is regulated and you're feeling calm and connected and able to handle all of the things that happen in life, it's going to go a lot better.

I talk a lot about how driving in Sicily is one of the hardest things that I have overcome lately. And the reason why is because it really knocked my nervous system and I had a huge amount of anxiety around driving. I had to do some kind of past life healing around it. I'm still doing it. around fire and car accidents and just feeling like I can be safe in the car.

And that stuff is intense. But what I've learned around this experience is when I show up with a grounded nervous system, I'm able to handle The people who pop out of nowhere and the people who ride on my tail, I'm just able to handle them so much better. And I'm also able to handle my anxiety so much better.

And it's all about regulating my nervous system and doing the things to stay calm. Now, I know driving is not really a leadership concept, but. When you think about how these things can thwart your nervous system, things that happen in your kids lives, or things that are happening in your family dynamics that can really impact your nervous system and impact how you're doing during the day, You start to realize that that impacts your leadership and then that impacts how you show up in the world to do your work.

So part of soft power is showing up with a regulated nervous system and learning how to do that. Getting good sleep, managing anxiety, managing stress, managing. How you show up to conflict, how you show up to drama and what you are available for and what you're not available for. So that's the first part of soft power is you in your body.

The second part of soft power is what your expectations and your policies and your standards are around The work that you do and when you can be as crystal clear on expectations, policies, standards, boundaries, then you can show up with a lot more power and a lot more clarity for the people who come into your spaces.

When people are able to show up and be in your energy and be in your work and show up in a way that Aligns to you. There's so much magic that can happen. But first, you have to be clear on what those expectation standards and policies are. You have to be clear about what your boundaries are, and so I highly recommend that you write 'em out, write out what your policies are around your business, write out what your policies are around contractors showing up on time or employees doing their work what your expectations are and what happens if they're not able to follow through on those expectations like what the What's the policy around it? What does it look like if someone's not able to be in congruence to what your expectations are?

The clearer that you can be in yourself and then with other people, the more people can show up and align to your expectations. I said this summer recently, I think it's an energy queen. But the idea is all around, if you have a public facing business and you want to have a dress code, you want people to be dressed in a certain way, being incredibly clear in your expectations, when someone's signing their, their job contract.

If you're able to be clear about that at the beginning, then there's less wiggle room, you know. And one of the things that I love to talk about too is around your expectations to get a project done or work done. I feel like with me, I run an online business. And so the people who work with me tend to be online as well.

So they don't necessarily live in the same city as me. We don't meet up and go to an office together. And so, and they're in different time zones too. And so my expectations are around, you're going to show up and do A, B, and C. Those are your job requirements. This is what's due in a certain amount of time.

These are the tasks that you need to get done. And allowing them to take authority and. Accountability and getting those things done is so much better than me saying, okay, you're going to clock in at nine o'clock and I'm going to keep tabs on you being online all day and you have to be at your desk. I would much rather someone get their job done for me and do it well and then go off and have lunch with their girlfriends.

Now if they're not able to get their job done well and they're not doing their tasks on time, that's where the expectation and the standards and the policies would come in and we would have to have a conversation around that. But that, in essence, is soft power. It's allowing people to do their jobs in the way that serves them and it's not so traditionally focused where you show up for a certain amount of hours and waste about half of those chit chatting with your friends and twiddling your thumbs and then doing actually like four hours of solid work, which is what I would do when I was in a nine to five job or an eight hour job.

Is I usually could get my job done in half the time. that it would take other people and then I'd just be hanging out, you know, that's not fun. And so I would prefer the people who work for me to not have to do that. The last thing that I want to share with you today in this quick episode about soft power is the concept that we are constantly growing in of And that it's up to us to be investing our time, our energy, our soul, our money, our finances.

Into things that continue to support our growth, that we are on a revolution of evolution and a revolution of growth. And it really is up to us to show up and continue to be in that and to be in the energy of the growth and the evolution of our lives. And when we show up and we invest our time, energy, finances, soul into the work We continue to do really powerful things.

We open our creativity up. We see things differently and we allow ourselves to dig in deeper into the work that we're here to do. And we also allow ourselves to expand. It's really powerful and it's really cool. And it only comes from the heart. Soft power. So I would encourage you to start looking at your leadership of the work that you do, the leadership of your life, and lean into your soft power in a really juicy, fun, connected way and just see what opens up for you.

See what it feels like to be in soft power. It's a very different feeling than hard power. It's a very different feeling than disconnected power. I know that you'll see what I'm talking about when you start playing with it. And if you have already started playing with it, I'm so excited to continue this conversation with you.

Okay. So we have just a couple more days left of our holiday love extravaganza sale going on. So you can come join me for the sacred femme experience. for a discounted price.
